Features of deep groove ball bearings

01. The ability to withstand radial load is weaker than that of roller bearings

Deep groove ball bearings have a smaller load carrying capacity than corresponding roller bearings, but are sufficient for general industrial motors. Often for additional radial loads such as external pulleys, the load capacity may not meet the requirements, and cylindrical roller bearings can be selected.

02. The internal friction of the bearing is relatively small and the heat generation is small

There is point contact between the rolling elements and the raceways, and the internal heating of the bearing is relatively small. In the case of bearings with seals, the frictional heat generation of the seals needs to be considered during operation.

03. The speed capability of the bearing is high

The internal rolling element of deep groove ball bearings is ball, compared with roller bearings, the mass of the rolling elements is relatively small, and the centrifugal force when rotating at high speed is small, and the commonly used stamped rigid cage, nylon cage, etc. have relatively good strength, so the mechanical limit speed capacity of deep groove ball bearings is relatively high. Correspondingly, due to relatively little heat generation, the thermal reference speed capability of deep groove ball bearings is also relatively high.
